Two Eurasian Eagle Owl chicks have hatched, to parents Sybil and Basil. Update (June): Sadly one of the chicks has died, despite the leeper's best efforts. The other, called Mischief, is thriving, however. |

Fifty-six Golden Birdwing butterfly pupae have arrived, following interception as illegal imports by HM Customs at Heathrow. It is hoped that once they emerge as butterflies, they will breed; 2 males and 5 females have emerged so far. |
