Two baby Quessant Sheep have been born. Dougal was born to mum Rufty on the 18th, and Douglas to mum Tufty two weeks later. |

Two Bactrian Camels have been born, both females. Mei-Li was born on the 16th, Olivia on the 21st. |

A baby female Giraffe called Christa has been born, the fifth for mum Matilda. Christopher, the father, sadly died last year. A new male, Kismet, a pure-bred Rothschild Giraffe like Matilda, recently arrived to replace him. |

Kingo, the male Black Rhino and father to Zuri who was born just over a year ago, has returned to Port Lympne. It is hoped that he will come back when Sita is ready to mate again. |

Bulu, the female Bornean Orang Utan and the oldest zoo-bred Orang in Europe, has sadly died. She had been ill for some time but a course of antibiotics had no effect. She was finally put to sleep when it became clear that she was having too much difficulty breathing. |

Three Burrowing Owl chicks, named Huey, Dewey and Lewey (although their sexes are not yet known), have been born. They are being hand-reared in the Zoo's incubation unit after being rescued from their burrow, which was threatened with flooding from heavy rain. |

One male and 3 female Reindeer calves have been born. A baby Collared Lemur has been born. A baby Miniature Donkey called Charlie has been born to mum Suzy. Three Great Grey Owl chicks and several Giant Wood Rail and White Stork chicks have hatched. |
