Europe's oldest captive monkey, 33 year old Tamale, a Diana Monkey, has sadly passed away. During her 20 years at Port Lympne, she gave birth to numerous babies, and was a great-grandmother. |

Two Ocelot kittens, Carlos and Cafu, have now been allowed out into their enclosure, following completion of their vaccinations. The kittens were born 23 April to parents Libby and Manduri. |

The new Water Garden in the Walled Garden is nearly complete, and is now open to visitors. The new animal enclosures are not yet occupied, but the pool with waterfall has been stocked with Koi Carp. |

The viewing area of the main enclosure for the zoo;s pair of Amur Tigers has been redesigned to resemble a Russian Ranger station, to help highlight the work the Rangers do in protecting the wild tigers in the Amur valley in far eastern Russia. A new interactive `Tiger Trail' has also been created to lead to the enclosure. |
