Arrival: Summer 2008

Some Marine (or Cane) Toads have arrived, to go on show in The Ark.

Arrival: Winter 2008

Recent arrivals include: a pair of European Beavers, European Otters, and two female Spider Monkeys (mother and baby) to join the resident males Danny and Keiron.

Death: August 2007

The female Red Panda that gave birth last month has sadly had to be put to sleep due to suffering from an aggressive cancer. The baby, now called Maggie, is being hand-reared by keepers and doing well.

Birth: 1 July 2007

Baby Red Panda born.

Arrival: November 2006

Large group of male Rodrigues Island Fruit Bats arrived. These are one of the rarest bats in the world, and are now housed in the Life on Islands exhibit, with both indoor and outdoor enclosures.

Red Panda cub born.
