This year's births include: Peregrine Falcons, American Kestrels, Great Horned and Snowy Owls, Caracara and Vultures.

Further births this year include: Bataleur Eagle (the 5th since 2001), Yellow Headed Caracara, Common Scops Owl, Snowy Owl (making the 29th species bred since 1988).

Arrivals this year include: European Sparrowhawks, Yellow Billed Kite, Palm Nut Vultures, Wahlberg's Eagle (to go on display in 2009), Spectacled Owl, Prairie Falcon.

Seclusion aviaries rebuild completed, with Peregrine Falcons, African Goshawks, Greater Kestrels, Mountain Caracara, Verreaux Owl. Many species viewable through CCTV system.

Yellow-Headed Caracara born, the first in the UK
Open: 2005
Owl Wood Project opened. A display of British and other owls in a natural woodland setting.
Arrival: 2004
Secretary Birds arrive.
