Description

Ash End House Children's Farm is a family owned farm which was established over 25 years ago, after a neighbouring nursery school arranged to visit with their children and so the idea was born! The aim of Ash End House Children's Farm is to provide both an enjoyable and educational hands on experience for children of all ages. Contact with many of the animals is encouraged, and children are given food for feeding them. Plenty of undercover areas allow the farm to be enjoyed in all weathers.

How To Get There:

By Car

From Cannock and A5 west:

Follow the A5 east to and into Tamworth. Follow the signs to Drayton Manor Park onto the A453 towards the town centre. Turn right (at traffic lights?) onto the A4091, still following the signs to Drayton Manor. Continue on the A4091 out of Tamworth, past the entrance to Drayton Manor, and onto a short stretch of dual carriageway. Near the end of this dual carriageway, turn right onto unclassified road (signposted for the Farm). Continue on this road, past turnings to the right (Middleton), left (Hunts Green), and right again (Middleton). The entrance to the Farm will then be on your left, a short distance after the second turning to the right.

From Lichfield:

Follow the A38 south to its junction with the A5 (and M6 Toll Road). Turn left onto the A5, and continue into Tamworth and on to the Farm as described above (from Cannock).

From Birmingham:

Follow the A38 north-east to Minworth. At the roundabout where the A38 turns north, turn right (4th exit) onto the A4097 towards Curdworth and the M42. Continue through Curdworth to junction 9 of the M42. Turn left (1st exit) onto the A446. Turn right at the next roundabout onto the A4091 towards Tamworth. After about 1.5 miles, at the start of a short stretch of dual carriageway, turn left onto unclassified road (signposted for the Farm). Continue on this road, past turnings to the right (Middleton), left (Hunts Green), and right again (Middleton). The entrance to the Farm will then be on your left, a short distance after the second turning to the right.

From M42/A42 north:

Follow the A42/M42 south to Tamworth (junction 10). Then either leave the M42 here, and follow the signs to Drayton Manor Park through Tamworth and onto the A4091, then continue as described above (from Cannock); or continue on the M42 to junction 9, then turn right (5th exit from large roundabout) onto the A446 and continue as described above (from Birmingham).

From Burton-upon-Trent:

Either follow the A38 past Lichfield to the A5, and continue as described above (from Lichfield and Cannock); or follow the A444 south to join the M42, and continue as described above (M42 north).

From A5 east:

Follow the A5 west to Tamworth, then either follow the signs to Drayton Manor Park through Tamworth and onto the A4091, then continue as described above (from Cannock); or turn left onto the M42 and continue to junction 9, then turn right (5th exit from large roundabout) onto the A446 and continue as described above (from Birmingham).
